It's a common misconception that cell phone usage runs contrary to the laws of alonergy. To the practiced alonergist, the cell phone is a tool, and can be just as effective as any migraine, abruptly closed door, or sarcastic retort in keeping others at bay. Disappear into it as you would any other technological safehaven when in distress. Fiddle, pretend to talk, send text messages. Just be careful not to accidentally answer it when somebody calls.

I have an allergy to Feed's alonergy analogy.
