26 - Part I

I celebrated my passing into the threshold of later twenties in several parts.

Tom proves to have good taste. Tangerine skirt and green and gold bracelet.

Thank you Tom.

Bday dinner #1 at Kendall House of Pizza... but this is souvlaki and a steak tip sub.

Bday dessert #1. This actually equals 26 in binary. Thanks Feed, Tom, and Google.

26 - Part II

Passing into the threshold of later twenties means an opportunity to wear heels and dress in black...
....in order to eat at the Prudential golden arch.

...but we didn't in fact go there because we were headed here, to The "Top of the Hub," a restaurant on the top floor of the Prudential building in Boston.
It's not Kendall's, but it will do.
Tom is suave, I guess.
Beet salad is also suave.

Cuchi Cuchi

Exhibit 1
Exhibit 2
Exhibit 3

Here are three artifacts from Cuchi Cuchi, the restaurant I dined at tonight in Cambridge, MA. What is more bizarre than these three pictures is:

  • The waitresses were all wearing 1920's dresses, hats, and feathers and looked down upon us for drinking tap water.
  • We sat in the corner of the restaurant with wall-to-wall lace covered mirrors.
  • I was accompanied by 3 MIT computation/architecture students. See why I might have been unprepared for this aesthetic.

Lara went to Prom this past weekend so I thought this deserved a post for several reasons. 1. Since my family finally signed up for satellite Internet, Lara has had the benefit of online shopping. She ordered her prom gloves from China. How did those make it all the way to Idaho? 2. I wore this dress to prom in high school, but I seemed to have been mislead by lace an bangs. Brown is a better accessory. 3. I just don't have enough Lara on my blog.

I was a little bored this afternoon and I found an empty picture frame so I decided to try painting. I don't know what this is, but I think it is funny. So I am going to hang it on my wall and call it "Giant Blueberries" or "Hangman" or "Blue orbs in the abyss." Any other ideas?

Some work mixed with play on my trip to Pasadena. Just doing a little lamp research.
