Reminisce
I just remembered that when I was in elementary school I had to fill out a survey to be the VIP for the week and the bulletin board was dedicated to all things "me." In my coolness, I wrote that Bette Midler was my favorite singer and Beaches was my favorite movie. It was the most recent thing I had seen. So, while most of my friends were rocking out to New Kids on the Block, I was watching this and THIS. Yes, a little special.
Well, I have moved past Bette Midler in a big way, but I will never give up my allegiance to Pat Benatar.
This music video embodies the soul and angst of 80's youth. Basically, it rocks.

Shoes
This post is dedicated to Monique. Take a look here and you will see that we truly are sisters...proven by our shoe love...and not to be confused with guy love.

I went shopping in search of a pair of heels to wear with a black cocktail dress and I found these lovely ladies by Kenneth Cole.

In a whirlwind of clearance frenzy, I also found these companions. From left to right:
*A pair of bronze flats with a little wedge heel, great with jeans or skirts.
*Red/orange hush puppies, designed for comfort but scream GIRL with teal and brown flower decoration and stitching.
*Green suede heels by Steve Madden. Oh for cuteness sake and only $16.
*Sexy black heels. My most expensive purchase and under $30.

Hawaii

On New Years, Karl and Tom thought it would be nice to bring a few sparklers as a gesture to the party at Kim's house. Our sparklers were used in bundles as lighters for the 3 hours of fireworks that Kim's family already purchased. Nice.

Kim and bird.

From our hike in Hawaii. We only got lost a little.

This is me before I was murdered by a flying ginger root--launched by Karl, of course.

Nearing the end of the journey.
Hawaii

Quadruplets. I know, we all look alike. We get that a lot.

Tom something something something.

Tom plays the drums in Tonga at the PCC. Hope ya'll had the chance to check out the video on Joseph's blog.

I was awarded this fish head, which ended up poking a lot of people in the eye. Perfect timing that my Seattle friend Joseph (background extra pictured) also had a trip to hawaii planned at the same time.
